CONTINUOUS DELIVERY
Your agile rhythm for CREATING VALUE in a VUCA world
In large and small companies the dynamic is increasing. This is mainly due to the fact that in a VUCA world, value creation becomes more and more complicated and complex. Regardless of the value added, disturbances in the global market are increasing, as currently caused by COVID 19. These effects are an amplifier for positive and negative characteristics of companies.
Let me briefly explain the VUCA world to you. Here both the requirements (WHAT) and the technology (HOW) are becoming increasingly unclear. The acronym VUCA means
V = VOLATIL
U = UNCERTAINTY
C = COMPLEXITY
A = AMBIGUITY
As an executive, entrepreneur or freelancer you are steering your company through the crisis. There are exactly two sides of your company’s value creation balance. You can generate new turnover through innovation or you can make better use of existing resources and reduce costs.
Two questions for you. How do you think we can
- manage the risk in product development and in a projects ❓
- to prove that what we do creates benefits for the customer❓
In the title graphic you can see that the risk peaks are much smaller with an agile approach than with big releases. Work in low frequency as possible and release your product to your customers regularly.
Once again the advantages of agile releases summarized:
1️⃣ Reduce the risk
2️⃣ Make quick decisions possible
3️⃣ Enable smaller releases more often
4️⃣ Regularly transports the experience in the team
You now know that continuous delivery improves your value creation balance. It’s a process that forces you and your team to deliver value at a high frequency. Try it out for three months and write me your experience and opinion about it.
Cheers, 🏄🏽♂️ Roman
